"You may not get everything you want in the divorce, but let me show you what you need to move forward."
Kristi Tidwell is a wealth advisor with New Path Planning, a division of Branning Wealth Management, LLC. She has had her CFP® designation since 2002 and over the past 20 years has worked with clients dealing with very complex financial situations. The addition of her CDFA® designation has provided additional training and continued education on the financial intricacies of divorce. Kristi has a BSBA with a concentration in finance from Mississippi College.
As a wealth advisor, Ms. Tidwell creates financial plans and manages the investments of client accounts. In addition to her wealth management services, she provides divorce-related financial planning and analysis to individuals and couples at all stages of the divorce process. She also works with attorneys and mediators to show the in-depth financial implications of potential settlements.
"After going though my own unexpected divorce, I realized the struggle facing couples as they separate. You are full of shock, sadness, fear and not in the best frame of mind to be making future altering decisions. Even after being a financial planner for years, during that time I needed factual, unbiased input and support from outside sources.
My mission at New Path Planning is to help level the playing field. Often times there is a spouse that was considerably more involved in a couple's finances. I hope to empower and educate those who were adding to the family in other ways.
Lawyers are your advocate, but they are legal experts, not always financial experts. Many times they don't have the time (or patience), and you don't have the money to pay for their in-depth analysis of your financial position. I can work with your attorney to evaluate the pluses and pitfalls of potential settlements."
